The National Security Agency just joined Microsoft in warning about a newfound vulnerability nicknamed BlueKeep affecting Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008.
This clearly illustrates why you need to upgrade before Microsoft ends support for Windows 7* and Server 2008 in January.
When Microsoft ends support, you will no longer receive:
- Free security updates on-premises
- Non-security updates
- Free support options
- Online technical content updates
That means system vulnerabilities like BlueKeep will no longer be patched by Microsoft.
